Project Infromation:
In the aftermath of a significant fire incident at Window Makers Silverdale, Liquid Electrical undertook a crucial project to restore and revitalize the fire-damaged electrical infrastructure. This meticulous restoration process not only ensured the resumption of normal operations but also enhanced the safety and efficiency of the entire electrical system.
Key Features:
Comprehensive Cable and Conduit Replacement:
Liquid Electrical replaced a variety of critical cables, including Cat6 UTP cables, Lutron cables, RG6 Coax cables, and 6-core security cables. Additionally, both 25mm and 32mm PVC conduits were installed, ensuring robust protection and organization of the new wiring systems across the facility.
Advanced Security and Communication Reinstatement:
The restoration included the installation of advanced security and communication cables to replace those damaged by the fire. This not only restored the previous capabilities but also provided an opportunity to upgrade the systems to more modern and efficient standards.
Labor-Intensive Restoration Efforts:
A significant portion of the project involved intensive labor to rewire and reinstall the electrical systems. This included prewire tradesman work and commissioning labor to re-test and commission the systems as the electrical rewiring progressed.
Specialized Attention to High-Risk Areas:
Particular attention was given to rewiring and replacing the conduit and cables for the electric motor of garage doors, tracing out and rewiring fire-damaged cables on cable trays, and replacing fire-damaged switchgear on concrete external walls.
Enhanced Safety and Compliance:
Following the restoration, all newly installed systems were rigorously tested and commissioned by Liquid Automation. This phase was crucial to ensure that all systems functioned correctly and any consequential issues arising during the repair process were addressed promptly.
This project exemplifies Liquid Electrical’s commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction. By swiftly addressing the damage and upgrading the affected systems, Liquid Electrical has reinforced the resilience and reliability of the electrical infrastructure at Window Makers Silverdale, ensuring it is well-equipped to support the company’s operations long into the future.
